Children applying to kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 1st. Acceptance into kindergarten is dependent upon a developmental-readiness screening, a parent/guardian interview, and the items listed below. For students in 1st–8th grade, a review of the applicant’s records, a parent/guardian interview, and a screening or shadow day are required.

K-8th Grade Application Checklist
If you are interested in applying for the 2024-25 school year, please reach out to Anne Zagotta, our Director of Admissions, to check grade-level availability.
Please complete the checklist below for all applicants, K-8th.
- Application for Admission
- $150 Application Fee
- Common Recommendation Form – Please have your child’s current teacher fill out the form and return it directly to NPES.
- Original Birth Certificate – Please bring the birth certificate to your family interview and we will make a photocopy and promptly return the original to you.
- Questionnaire – A Family Questionnaire is also required before a school visit.
